So I don’t get it when people go, I am happy for you? Why? What’s the need? I am never happy for a lot of people.
I mean some of them I am genuinely happy for but mostly I am just unaffected. You are doing well, fine by me. I wouldn’t give a shit if you weren’t. How am I going to bother if you are?
Are we really that caring about one another? Does it seem so? Are we really capable of feeling happiness for someone else, even if they don’t have strong ties with us? I don’t think so.
The only people we feel happy for are the people whose unhappiness can cause us personal harm or issues. There is a selfish motive in that. Simple as that.
We are not capable of being happy for someone just like that-OKAY! NO FUCKING WAY!
I am never been happy for a strangers I see in a brand new Audi. In fact we are much more envious of others success! Where does the happiness part fit it? Is there really all that happiness left in this world now?
And those that we know. Are we really happy for them or we just want them to think we are. Hey, I got a new job and a big raise. Good I am happy for you. Are they still hiring? No huh—‘happiness meter runs down.’
I get people that say to me, I am really happy for you and these people probably wouldn’t care if I die in a car crash next minute. They’ll be thinking, thank God he decided to start ahead of us. Teaches him to be in a hurry and act all important. Now he is all smashed and dead –Good bye man! I am so happy for you!
